Agreed, same boat. But consoles can be a lot simpler for the average person (no upgrading, fiddling with settings if need be for the game to run optimally, drivers, etc). In the perspective that it could hook up with steam, if you're spending 500 for the 1k PC equivalent, the convenience factor of it working out of the box in addition to price would be a big appeal, imo. Xbox constantly seems closer to PC which is why it could take a route of some sort of gaming pc substitute for the average end user.

That's sort of my point but reversed. I wouldn't buy a scorpio because of what you stated, but people certainly find a convenience factor in a console and if the whole steam library was readily available at "4k," for 500 bucks, that would appeal to a decent consumer base, imo.

But I digress, only real system that matters to me is whatever has MH.

Basically this: I have great memories of my 360, was never into the one though. I'm not brand-loyalist by any stretch of the imagination. I did want a ps3 before the xbox but wanted to play halo so got the 360. Played my neighbours ps3 whenever though. No point getting an xbox now though. Like you said, PC and Switch and PS4 for the exclusives and general games if any.
