What are chracter tournaments?

 

Writing tournaments.. with different themes per month or so.

 

I still feel admins and other staff should be more active.I don't think contests will help anything if no one is active to being with.

Not saying this to make it seem like I'm pushing it to happen but there are sites where you can gift games to people despite not being in same region as some people.

Such as InstaGaming but not all games are available there.

 

But is it a problen if say a game on humble bundle is 13 AUD but on Steam itself is 20 but you have 20 AUD limit in that case it'a a win win situation since the winner has 7 AUD spare for another game.

Rarely the games are more expensive on other platforms.

 

It should be a community effort to get contests rolling; both mods and members have an equal responsibility to maintain them and make sure there's a steady interest.

Games like the sheep game or whatever are popular among this crowd, so something interactive and also ways to get Keno if the game is one is also good. Can do the same thing for winning Mafia games by making an MVP award based on a set of criteria.

On another note, I recommend an all-out freestyle contest--something that includes any medium to draw in attention to get a sense of what users do like and aren't interested in. I ran one of these a couple years back on Animeforums and it went really well, actually.

 

That's freestyle for a specific medium.

I mean a medium free for all. For example, not everyone can do graphics or have confidence in their skills to do so, but they can cook, write, or draw or enter photography if they wish, etc. This way users have a chance to display skills they have or things they're passionate for instead of being restricted to something like a graphics oriented contest.

It would have a specific theme attached to it if need be (which would make judging easier) or it could be freestyle and chaotic (the latter is how I hosted this type of contest--it allows everyone to participate, not just a select few that gear toward a specific type of art without being tied to one theme/idea in mind.)

To sum up the somewhat complex idea:

Specific theme: Fire or Freestyle
Mediums allowed: All (graphics to nail art or some shit like that)

OR:

Specific theme: Freestyle
Medium: Avatars

I hope this makes sense; me trying to clarify my personal ideas and convey what I want to convey is super convoluted.

 

Which is why if you don't want it to randomized, a specific theme can be applied.

Criteria can be rigorous and based on 5 qualities of each piece and how well it demonstrates the theme (feet for instance, or in your case, pornography .)
