Synopsis

In a war against four overpowered races—angels, demons, undeads, and humanoid beasts—humanity could only prevail thanks to its champion Sid, who defeated the other races' champions and sealed away their armies in four pyramids. In an age where Sid's existence has become but a legend of the past, Kai Sakura Vento is one of the many conscripts tasked with monitoring the pyramids in fear that these old foes would escape.

On a peaceful day while spending time with his friend Jeanne E. Anise, the world is suddenly "overwritten," transporting Kai to an alternate reality where humanity has nearly been annihilated by the demons and forced into hiding. To make matters worse, his very existence has been erased from this world; all of his friends, including Jeanne, who leads the local resistance efforts in this world, have forgotten about him.

Trying to investigate the remains of his former world, Kai encounters Rinne, an enigmatic young woman trapped in a pyramid. Mysteriously inheriting Sid's legendary sword Codeholder, Kai manages to free Rinne from her imprisonment. Determined to fix this reality, Kai joins forces with Rinne and Jeanne to free humanity from demonic rule. But if the valiant soldier wants to have a chance at returning to his original world, he will first have to uncover the cause behind the mysterious alteration of reality.

Episode 1 was interesting. So there was a big war in the past, with five different factions. Demons, Humans, Celestials, beasts and spirits. Humans stood agone against the other four. The demons are sealed within a graveyard.

Kai and his friends are part of a military organisation that monitors the pyramids to make sure the demons don't escape. One of their friends Jeanne is being assigned for two years, so Kai goes shopping with her. During this, he's transported seemingly to an alternate timeline. This time period had no human hero, so humanity lost and the demons are rampant. No one also remembers Kai. He found the sword that the hero of his timeline used, and has seemingly come across an angel, who begs to be freed.

 

Episode 2 was ok. After asking the woman to not attack him after freeing her, Kai tries with his usual weapon with no success. He ended up using that heroes sword which freed the woman. She immediately attacked him thinking he was on the side of the demons. They eventually cleared it up, and agreed to work together. The woman's name is Rinne and she was fighting the leader of the demons previously. Seems she has been standing alone against the other factions, as none of them are allies with her.

The duo end up returning to the city and getting in contact with Jeanne and eventually they at least hear him out regarding him being from another dimension/time. They plan to attack Vanessa who Rinne was fighting.

 

Episode 3 was good. Rinne hates all races, but she hates herself the most because she's like a mix of them all. The operation to take out Vanessa and reclaim the capital is in full swing. There were demons at multiple points and they were using the castle's infra red to locate them thanks to Vanessa. Due to this, as they went, they split off to continue the fight and allow Kai to go ahead.

Rinne took on a group of demons by herself while Kai continued on to Vanessa. Vanessa is a succubus so tried to charm Kai to start out, which he resisted. Their battle went off from there. Kai seemed to deal with whatever Vanessa threw at him thanks to the sword. Rinne soon appeared, although she was a bit injured. It was at that time, that thing that attacked Rinne back when Kai saved her appeared. In the end, it seemed like it was going to take out Vanessa, but she overpowered it and damaged it severely. This Vanessa is extremely strong, stronger than the one Rinne fought, and she's even afraid of her.

 

Episode 4 was good. The battle continued. Rinne seemed to intend to self destruct killing herself and Vanessa and begged Kai to flee. Vanessa broke out and injured Rinne. Kai charged her in attack, and she seemingly killed Kai. When Kai was seemingly killed, this cause Rinne to lose it and she transformed a bit into something more demon like. This gave her the ability to fight Vanessa off for a little bit, but ultimately Vanessa still outclassed her. When it seemed like Rinne would also be killed, Kai saved her having not been dead.

The battle continued on a little longer and with some cooperation between the two, Kai was able to land the finishing blow on Vanessa. Vanessa seemed to get memories about the prior world too, and indicated that one of the other heroes must have caused the current state of things. She vowed to come back but next time fight Kai as a succubus, so I guess, she is in love with him now.

 

Episode 5 was alright. With the capital free, they've been forced to go to the Io federation. This is seemingly due to Jeanne being seen as humanity's hope and they need to assist with requests for help from other nations. After they defeated Vanessa, her sister also appeared and caused some havoc. She did end up leaving, but it's not good she appeared. One the way to the Io federation, they were also attacked by a dragon, although ended up dealing with it.

The actual military of Io seems good with reasonable people, but the same can't be said about their arrogant leader, Dante. Seems Dante is also being strung along by a demon or other race. Looks like he was fed bad information and lead straight into a trap.

 

Episode 6 was alright. The group spotten some Elven traps, although were still teleported. After running into a spirit, they quickly found themselves in the elven village and demanded the ones held captive be freed. It turns out that Qubirey the supposed second in command was an elf in disguise. In order for those held hostage to be freed, the demand is to help the elves fight the angels, that betrayed them. It was agreed. So far, like with the hero of the demons, the group is splitting up to fight different people. The angels have also kind of turned on other angles too.

 

Episode 7 was ok. The battle continued with each separate group. Vicious and Raphaelo were both defeated, or rather surrendered. Seems like they weren't trying too hard to start with, and actually wished for the defeat of Alfreya due to him seemingly being corrupted. The battle continued for a while against Alfreya, with Rinne joining in too. It wasn't long before Rasterizer appeared and fucked it up. It erased Alfreya and then seemingly appeared using his body to get more power, so it's a bit of a bad turn.

 

Episode 8 was ok. Alfreya was defeated and returned to his true self for a little before dying. He apologised for the way he had acted, especially to Reiren. Alfreya seemed to have been plotting something with the beast hero, which seemingly was after Alfreya was corrupted. The elves have formed an alliance of sorts and the place is to continue on fighting the spirits and beasts. Reiren was chosen to go with them. The spirit hero and beast hero also met up, with the beast hero attacking the spirit hero, wanting to kill her.

 

Episode 9 was ok. The battle between the two heroes went on. Looks like Rath=IE was also working with one of those Rasterizers. She seems to have defeated Kyouko, although it looks like Kyouko escaped. There's a little bit of a rivalry between Rinne and Reiren with both of them liking Kai. There was a tough battle against a really strong spirit beast and Kai was injured saving Rinne. That really upset her, although he's mostly fine. They've been led by something to the "centre of the world".

 

Episode 10 was ok. Apparently Jeanne is the prophet of this world. I would've thought it was Kai, but I guess because he technically doesn't belong there it makes sense. That god did admit he could fulfil the role, but it was more fitting for Jeanne. Travelling along, the group came to where it seemed like they would set up camp, as it will take a few more days to reach their destination. When they surveyed the area, it was apparent spirits were in the area and started to attack them. They seemed to take the spirits out, then Kyouko appeared. She seems intent on trying to take them out too.

 

Episode 11 was alright. They fought against Kyouko for a bit, then the Rasterizer appeared and quickly fled after not taking Kyouko out. This cased the a ceasefire. They main group entered the pyramid and had some words spoken to them by the prophet Sid, and they were teleported to the realm where Kai first met Rinne. The Rasterizer there sent the four that didn't have anything to do with Sid away and tried to eliminate Kai, Rinne and Kyouko. They eventually escaped back to the normal plane, with the Rasterizer following them. Kyouko was able to kill it with it no longer being able to regenerate due to being in the normal world. A second Rasterizer has appeared, the one that had Rinne imprisoned. It also looks like Alfreya is alive, just petrified.

 

Episode 12 was ok. The battle continued against this Rasterizer. Kai, Kyouko and Rinne all seemed on the backfoot. Kyouko was about to be deleted but used a giant explosion attack which did great damage to Rasterizer. Rasterizer then teleported Rinne away while Kai kept fighting. Rinne then returned herself. Reiren forget some magic fire arrow with enough power to burn forever which exploded and critically wounded Rasterizer. Rasterizer tried to rewrite things again and turned into Sid. The rewrite failed and Kai was able to defeat Rasterizer. When Kai woke up a few days later, Rinne confessed to him, and before he could fully respond and when Rinne was trying to kiss him, Reiren and Jeanne appeared ruining the moment. They obviously also have feelings for him. Kyouko also ended up surviving by splitting her core, so she's tiny now. It'll take 30 years for her to recover unless she absorbs a large amount of spirits or mana.
